In 2009, IRC and WfWI began a partnership under the USAID-funded project, Ending Sexual Violence by Promoting Opportunities and Individual Rights (ESPOIR). The project’s focus naturally aligns with the core expertise of each organization: IRC’s medical and psycho-social referral networks and knowledge, and WfWI’s rights-based life skills education and income generation training. This model provides a unique opportunity for the delivery of complementary services that address the consequences of gender-based violence.
