Our Pledge to Grantee Partners Regarding COVID-19

We are grateful for the strength of our partnerships with each and every one of the nonprofit organizations we work with daily and the critical work they do to further our shared mission. Given the unique global challenges of the current COVID-19 pandemic, we wanted to express our compassion and solidarity with you during this time and to share some information pertaining to our ongoing work together.

The Hilton Foundation pledges to:

  • Work with partners to understand where it makes sense to be flexible with current grants. We understand that in some cases, original grant goals will need to be reduced, revised, or replaced with other work in service of our shared goals. We ask our partners to share any new plans with us, including requested modifications to current grant agreements. We are here to be supportive when our partners are able to follow up with us.
  • Honor all existing funding commitments.
  • Consider how new funding, as available, can provide flexibility to grantee partners during the response to this crisis.
  • Learn from these emergency efforts and consider how we might apply these lessons to improve our practice in the future.

We would like to express gratitude for our partnership and thank you for remaining steadfast in your critical work during these uncertain times. We promise to continue to work collaboratively and aim to be nimble, as we continue to carry out the shared mission of our work together with you.

Thank you for all that you do, and we hope you and your loved ones are staying safe and well.
