Katie Januario

Katie Januario coordinates grantmaking activities for the Program Department at the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation. She monitors grants and supports the development, review, and presentation of grant proposals related to the Global Early Childhood Development initiative. Prior to joining the Hilton Foundation, Januario was a senior program manager at Catholic Relief Services (CRS) where she led a USAID PEPFAR global grant called Coordinating Comprehensive Care for Children in Mozambique. Also while at CRS, she led formative research in Zambia to support family strengthening and alternative care interventions, and supported the design of orphans and vulnerable children and child protection programming in Haiti and Zimbabwe. Januario holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Maryland School of Social Work and a global health professional certificate from University of Maryland Graduate School. She has supported vulnerable children and their families as a returned Peace Corps volunteer from Mozambique and as a Jesuit volunteer on a Native American reservation in Washington.
